ALBERT KING: LIVE IN SWEDEN
Albert King remains one of the most influential blues guitarists of all time. Born in Indianola, Mississippi, King enjoyed a successful career that encompassed four decades and garnered wide critical and commercial acceptance throughout the world. The stinging solos that the left-handed blues giant wrenched from his trademark Gibson Flying V helped inform the sound and style of such admirers as Eric Clapton, Luther Allison, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Taj Mahal and Jimi Hendrix. This never-before-released 1980 concert film presents King in top form, tearing through such signature songs as "The Sky Is Crying" and "Born Under A Bad Sign." This program also features a rare in-depth interview with the legendary guitarist.
